Blackboard VLE

Blackboard is Imperial's choice of Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) and is used throughout the Faculty of Medicine to deliver its undergraduate online courses requiring VLE functionality.

Features of Blackboard include:

• Delivery of course resource materials - text, video, images, PDFs, PowerPoint presentations and audio.

• Online discussion forums, real-time chat and an interactive whiteboard.

• Quizzes and surveys can be  taken online with grading.

• Set up and receive assignments with deadlines and selective releases.

• Tracking of  student progress and management of grades by tutors.

Activate Your Account

You would need to activate your Imperial account, if you have not done so already, in order to log into Blackboard. Please activate your account here.

Logging In

You will need an Imperial username and password to use Blackboard. Go through the troubleshooter first if you have problems logging in. Change your password online if you need to before contacting ICT.
