This programme is a part-time, two-year course organised by the Department of Infectious Diseases and Immunity in conjunction with Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.

This new programme is designed to give nurses, allied health professionals and healthcare managers:

Graduates of the course can expect to have obtained a full understanding of the key issues surrounding the management of infection in today's healthcare environment.

Entry Requirements

Applications will be welcomed from those holding a good bachelors degree (normally an upper second class degree or above) in Nursing, another health profession, or an equivalent degree from a UK/EU university. 

Students with a Nursing diploma with substantial work experience may also be considered.  Any such applicants will be subject to a special qualifying examination (administered by the Division) including an interview to assess academic potential for completing the course.

The Special Qualifying Exam will be held  at Hammersmith Campus. Please contact us for further information.

  • Postgraduate Diploma - £3300 (an additional £1200 after completion of the PG Cert)
  • MSc - £4200 (an additional £2100 after completion of the PG Cert)

2012 Entry Fees

  • Postgraduate Diploma - £3510 (an additional £1260 after completion of the PG Cert)
  • MSc - £4500 (an additional £2250 after completion of the PG Cert)
