Imperial Graduates in Foundation Schools - other than North West Thames
Graduates from UK medical schools
UK qualified doctors will need to make their application for full registration on-line via the GMC website. http://www.gmc-uk.org/ - MyGMC. Once this is completed the applicant must download the Certificate of Experience form, which must be forwarded to their medical school for completion. The medical school will then forward the form to the GMC, who will match it with the doctor's record and registration will be granted once their on-line application is verified, registration will not be granted until they have received the form. When complete the GMC will send the applicant a confirmatory email and they will receive a Certificate through the post.
Doctors who currently hold Provisional Registration will need to hold Full Registration prior to commencing their F2 post. You should therefore make arrangements with your Foundation School to ensure that your original 5.1 Attainment of competency form is received by the Medical School and you make your application to the GMC. Both your 5.1 Attainment of competency form and Certificate of Experience must be received by no later than Friday 10th July 2009. Doctors are strongly advised to apply for registration in advance of this date to guarantee full registration for your F2 post commencing in August 2009. Late applications may miss the GMC deadline and cause your registration to be delayed until after 4 August, thus preventing you from starting your F2 programme.
Once we are in receipt of your documentation, a Certificate of Experience will usually be forwarded to the GMC within 3 working days.
