The Faculty offers more than 100 specialist short courses and symposia, ranging from one day to three weeks. Some of the areas covered are:

These courses provide intensive continuing education in advanced academic and clinical topics and in laboratory research technology.

Almost 7,000 students join our short course programme annually and the majority of our courses offer CME or accreditation from the relevant learned societies.

Special events hosted by Graduate School of Life Sciences and Medicine have included the students' summer event, the Ig Nobel Awards, and annual winter lectures with several high profile guest speakers.

The Symposium Office

Based at Imperial's Hammersmith Campus, they offer a variety of postgraduate training and update courses for doctors and allied professionals.

National Heart and Lung Institute

The NHLI's short courses and symposia are designed for medical, paramedical, nursing and management personnel.

Hammersmith Conference Centre

Imperial College also run courses jointly with Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust providing specialist training in research and clinical topics.
