The NHLI is located between Fulham Road and the King's Road in Chelsea. The nearest underground station is South Kensington on the Piccadilly, District and Circle lines. Buses which run nearby include the 11, 14, 19, 22, 49, 211, 319, 345, and 414.
Royal Albert Hall at Kensington Gore, Hyde Park, and Kensington Gardens, site of Kensington Palace, are to the north, while the Chelsea Physic Garden is a short walk to the southeast at 66 Royal Hospital Road.
The Victoria and Albert Museum and Natural History Museum on Cromwell Road, and the Science Museum on Exhibition Road are all just a few minutes away.
Local cinemas include the Cine Lumiere at Queensberry Place which shows French films and Chelsea Cinema at 206 Kings Road.
The shops of Brompton Road are also within walking distance, or go one tube stop directly to Knightsbridge, the station for Harrods and Harvey Nichols.
