UK Clinical Aptitude Test (UKCAT)

All candidates applying to the School of Medicine four-year graduate course (A101) must have taken the UK Clinical Aptitude Test in Summer 2011 to be considered for interview (Candidates for the six-year course (A100) should take the BMAT test detailed earlier, not the UKCAT). You are required to register with UKCAT assessment centres before the test date. More information, including the location of test centres, can be found at http://www.ukcat.ac.uk.

Interview offers will be based on the content of your application and your performance in the UKCAT. UKCAT cut-off scores are calculated each year, as a result of ranked candidate UKCAT scores versus number of expected interview sessions. As a result, the absolute UKCAT cut-off changes each year. However, the UKCAT cut-off scores from previous admissions cycles may be used as a guide. For 2011 entry, a minimum score of 640 in each of the following sections was required: Quantitative Reasoning; Decision Analysis; Verbal Reasoning; Abstract Reasoning
