Harmonised Data Collection
One objective of the EURO-BLCS project is to consolidate methods of data collection in order to improve future comparability between countries, and to allow data pooling. Another is to collect new outcome data from the Greek and Finnish cohorts. This page outlines the work that has been undertaken and the methodology used to achieve these objectives.
The methodology for both the Greek and Finnish cohorts involved collection of data through postal questionnaires and clinical measurements. The questionnaires shown are those used in Finland. Greek questionnaires were very similar, though it was necessary to change certain questions, where content was culturally dependent e.g. those regarding types of food eaten.
