Postgraduate Training
Biomolecular Medicine has a strong record in postgraduate training and continues to train students in all areas of the analytical, and chemometric related to metabonomics. Studentships are commonly associated with industrial placements and supervision through schemes such as the BBSRC Collaborative Awards in Science and Engineering (CASE) and the MRC Integrative Toxicology Training Partnership (ITTP) that broaden the learning experience and provide an opportunity for developing a wide skills base in metabolic science.
The affiliation of Biomolecular Medicine with the MRC-HPA Centre for Environment & Health further widens the range of training activities, by providing a framework for collaborative work across a number of departments in Imperial College London, King’s College London and St George’s College.
A very high percentage of PhD students continue in academic research or move to related work in industry leaders.
