A giant 3D pelvis and real-life hip replacements are some of the props that were shown to the public in July, at an exhibit explaining why some hip replacements fail and how scientists are working to improve them in the future. The exhibit was part of the Royal Society Summer Science Exhibition, which took place between 26th June and 4th July 2010 at the Southbank centre. 46,000 visitors attended.
