Assessment of Procedural Skills

  • Assessment of Procedural Skills

Performing clinical procedures is fundamental to every clinician's daily work. Such procedures require a range of technical and non-technical skills, coupled with the ability to handle a range of challenges. Hybrid simulation combines inanimate models with professional actors (Simulated Patients) to recreate authentic conditions of care while ensuring safety. Building on earlier work within the group, this project is mapping a matrix of procedural skills within the major clinical specialties along a spectrum of patient complexities.

Funded by London Deanery's STeLi Initiative (Simulation and Technology-Enhanced Learning Initiative).
