Professor Rifat Atun
Aim: to identify effective system-based models of approaches which allow the adoption and implementation of innovations in infection prevention. To evaluate innovative approaches to patient safety, imbedding infection control into patient pathways.
Professor Alison Holmes
Aim: to apply behavioural sciences and social marketing to understand infection control practices and antibiotic prescribing behaviour. To design, implement and assess a number of marketing interventions that will promote the desired behaviours. To replicate this across the NHS.
