Academic Health Science Centre

AHSC montage of Imperial and NHS campuses

Formed in October 2007 by the merger of the Hammersmith Hospitals and St Mary's NHS Trusts and integration with Imperial College London. It received formal AHSC status designation from the Department of Health in March 2009.

 

Academic Health Sciences Partnership in North West London

Following on from Lord Ara Darzi’s review of the Academics Health Science Centre a wider partnership, Imperial College Health Partners, was also formed with NHS providers in North West London.  This has recently applied to be credited as an Academic Health Science Network.
