Dr Laura Moreno
Laura Moreno completed her PhD in 2006 under the supervision of Professor Perez-Vizcaino at Universidad Complutense, Madrid, Spain studying the mechanisms of pulmonary hypertension.
Dr Moreno was awarded a Marie Curie Fellowship from the European Community to study PPAR receptors and vascular function with Professor Mitchell in 2007. Since beginning her fellowship Dr Moreno has established a novel research area which bridges a gap between nuclear receptor and pattern recognition receptor function in the cardiovascular system.
Dr Moreno contributes to both undergraduate and postgraduate student activities within the group and is a member of the NHLI PostDoc Committee.
