Professor Paul J Farrell

My research is mostly on mechanisms by which the human tumour virus Epstein-Barr Virus causes human cells to proliferate, the role of the virus in human cancers and the regulation of the switch between viral latent persistence and virus replication.

Control of BZLF1 in reactivation of EBV from latency
Functional RNAs expressed by EBV (EBERs and miRNAs)
