Virtual Patients
The interactive Virtual Online Patient Simulation (iVOPS) project demonstrates that properly developed Virtual Environments can provide cost effective access to immersive training involving virtual patients. Trainee doctors were assessed while diagnosing and managing 27 virtual patients in different acute care environments developed by the Lab. Funding was provided by the Simulation and Technology-enhanced Learning Initiative (STeLI) - a flagship programme of the London Deanery’s and NHS London’s ‘Excellence in Education’ strategy.
